Pierre Lueders national bobsleigh coach in Russia

 

Moskow (RWH) Pierre Lueders (CAN) is the new national coach for the Russian bobsleigh athletes, as was reported by the German news agency SID. The 41-year-old Canadian, Olympic Champion 1998 in two-man-bobsleigh and silver medallist in 2006, was coach for the young Canadian bobsledders since two years. Lueders, World Champion in two-man-bob 2004 and 2005, is record winner in World Cup with a total of six overall victories and the most successful Canadian bobsleigh athlete. 

Sochi in Russia is host of the coming Olympic Winter Games. The most favoured health and spa resort is site of the opening ceremony on 7. February 2014.  The Russian National Sliding Centre is located in Rzhanaya Polyana, in the Western Caucasus. 60 km northeast of Sochi the artificially refrigerated track hosts the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions the 2014 Winter Olympics.
