Become the Sport Volunteer of XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi

Attention to bobsleigh and skeleton fans, specialists and athletes!

“Sochi 2014” Organizing Committee recruits sport volunteers for XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi. The key criteria is the knowledge of bobsleigh and skeleton rules, competition experience (as an athlete, official, volunteer etc.), interest to sliding sports and desire to become a part of a great historical event. The sport volunteers get:

  • the possibility to take part in a world-class event
  • a comfortable uniform and necessary equipment
  • free accommodation, meals and travel between your accommodation in the host city for the Games and your place of work
  • unique souvenirs
  • the chance to see the Games from the inside
  • new experience and friends
  • the chance to attend competition events and see some of the world's greatest athletes in the flesh

What are the sport volunteers doing:

  • take part in the Field of Play preparation for sport competitions
  • work at the Field of Play and Athletes areas
  • Field of Play safety monitoring
  • provide teams and sport delegations with necessary information
  • control the services provided for athletes and team officials, help them move around the venues before, during and after the competition
  • help the judges

You can become “Sochi 2014” sport volunteer if:

  • you are fit
  • you are selfless, friendly, good at using your initiative, responsive, patient, able to work as part of a team and deal with non-standard situations, ready for physical work, responsibility and prepared to undergo training
  • you are keen to help out on a unique project for Russia, expand your circle of friends, and gain new experiences, knowledge, skills and - most importantly - a wave of positive emotions
  • you share the Olympic and Paralympic Values
  • at the beginning of 2014 you will be over 18, but under 80 years of age
  • you speak English (mandatory) and other languages (that is a good advantage)
