FIBT Congress Announced for Lake Placid
LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- The annual Congress of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation will be held September 10-12 in Lake Placid, New York.
Hosted by the New York Olympic Regional Development Authority in cooperation with the USA Bobsled & Skeleton Federation, the Congress will begin on Friday, September 10 with a special Extraordinary Congress session called by the FIBT Executive Committee.
The extraordinary congress will deal with financial matters, including a Report from the external auditors of the financial statements for 2008-2009; presentation of the interim financial statements as of June 30, 2010; and presentation of business plan and cash flow protection for the period 2010-2014 including information about relevant agreements to be concluded.
A World Cup race organizer’s meeting is set for Friday, afternoon, September 10 at 2 pm. The pre-congress sessions for bobsleigh and skeleton are planned for Saturday, September 11 beginning at 9 am.
The Congress, highlighted by the election of the Executive Board for 2010-2014, is scheduled for Sunday, September 12, starting at 9 am. The candidates nominated by the national federations:
