WHAT IS ZELLE®?
Zelle® is a fast and easy way to send and receive money with friends, family and others you trust. With just an email address or U.S. mobile number, you can send money to people you know and trust who have an eligible checking or savings account in the U.S.
WHO CAN I SEND MONEY TO WITH ZELLE®?
You can send money to friends, family, and others you trust who are enrolled with Zelle® and have an eligible checking or savings account in the U.S.
Since money is sent directly from your account to another person’s account in minutes,1 it’s important to only send money to people you trust and always confirm you’ve used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number.
HOW DO I USE ZELLE®?
To get started, log in to your online banking or mobile app and select “Send Money with Zelle®.” Enter your email address or U.S. mobile number, receive a one-time verification code, enter it, accept the terms and conditions and you’re ready to start sending and receiving money.
To send money:
- Select a recipient from your contacts or enter a trusted recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number
- Enter the amount and an optional note
- Review and select “Send”
To request money:
- Select “Request”
- Choose the individual you’d like to request money from
- Enter the amount and an optional note
- Review and select “Request”2
To receive money:
- Share your enrolled email address or U.S. mobile number with the sender
- Once they send money, it will be deposited into your eligible account
SOMEONE SENT ME MONEY WITH ZELLE®. HOW DO I RECEIVE IT?
If you have already enrolled with Zelle®, no further action is needed. The money will be deposited directly into your account, typically in minutes.1.
If you are not yet enrolled, follow these steps:
- Click the link in the payment notification sent via email or text message
- Select First International Bank & Trust
- Follow the prompts to enroll and receive your payment
Be sure to enroll using the same email address or U.S. mobile number where you received the payment notification.
WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENTS CAN I MAKE WITH ZELLE®?
Zelle® is a convenient way to send money to friends, family, and others you trust, such as your personal trainer, babysitter, or neighbor.
Because money moves quickly and directly between accounts, Zelle® should be used to send money to people you know and trust.2
1To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account.
2Payment requests to persons not already enrolled with Zelle® must be sent to an email address. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes.
