What is Positive Pay?

Positive Pay is a fraud prevention service that helps businesses identify unauthorized check and ACH transactions before they are paid from an account. It provides an additional layer of security to help reduce fraud-related losses.

How does Check Positive Pay work?

Check Positive Pay compares checks presented for payment against your issued check file. The system verifies key information, such as check numbers, dollar amounts, payees, and issue dates. If a discrepancy is detected, you'll be notified and can decide whether to pay or return the item.

How does ACH Positive Pay work?

ACH Positive Pay allows you to create a list of authorized or unauthorized rules. If an exception occurs, you'll receive a notification and can review the transaction before making a pay or return decision.

Will I receive notifications?

Yes. Positive Pay sends automated email notifications and email or text reminders when exception items require your review, helping you respond quickly to potential fraud concerns.

Is Positive Pay right for my business?

Positive Pay is ideal for businesses and organizations that issue checks, use ACH payments, or want additional protection against payment fraud. A Treasury Management specialist can help determine the best solution for your needs.
