Cathrine Grimsrud
Since joining First International Bank & Trust in 2019, Cathrine Grimsrud has led the growth of Mineral & Land Services (MLS) into a comprehensive platform serving mineral owners, operators, investors, financial institutions, and other energy industry stakeholders. As Director of Mineral & Land Services, she specializes in mineral management, appraisals, transaction advisory, consulting, lending support, and technology solutions.
Cathrine also played a key role in developing the Bank's Reserve Based Lending (RBL) program and works closely with leadership, lending teams, and credit professionals on asset due diligence, collateral evaluation, portfolio risk assessment, and complex energy transactions. Her legal, industry, and banking experience helps clients and the Bank navigate opportunities, evaluate risk, and make informed decisions.
Originally from Norway, Cathrine lives in Bismarck with her two children, Haakon and Ella Tomine. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
