FIBT Donates to Williston Turf Project & Healthcare Facility

First International Bank & Trust is pleased to share the following news from Williston State College:

WILLISTON, N.D. — Williston State College is proud to announce two generous donations from First International Bank & Trust (FIBT) in support of its ongoing initiatives to enhance student experience and regional impact. The gifts will directly benefit the newly constructed turf baseball and softball complex—Rabon Field, home of Teton Baseball, and Leininger Field, home of Teton Softball—as well as the state-of-the-art Healthcare Training Facility currently under development.

These investments from FIBT underscore the bank’s deep commitment to advancing education, wellness, and quality of life in the Williston community.

“Williston State College is a pillar of our community,” said Jory Meyer, Williston Branch President for First International Bank & Trust. “First International Bank & Trust is proud to support WSC’s new baseball and softball complex, as well as their new healthcare training facility – two major initiatives that will further enrich the lives of the people who live, work, play, and learn in Williston. From improving local outdoor recreation to preparing the next generation of medical professionals for the workforce, these are exactly the kind of efforts we love to be a part of.”

The turf complex has already begun transforming the landscape of collegiate and community athletics in the region. Rabon Field and Leininger Field now offer a modern, weather-resilient playing experience for student-athletes and provide a venue for hosting local and regional events. Meanwhile, the forthcoming Healthcare Training Facility, slated to open in January 2026, will offer cutting-edge programs in partnership with regional universities, including degrees in Nursing, Paramedic, Medical Assistant, and Addiction Studies

“We are deeply grateful to First International Bank & Trust for their ongoing partnership and support,” said Dr. Bernell Hirning, President of Williston State College. “These donations reflect a shared vision for the future of our region—one where education, recreation, and healthcare go hand-in-hand to create stronger, more vibrant communities.”

Both projects are part of WSC’s broader mission to invest in student success and workforce development while serving the evolving needs of western North Dakota.
