The Odin Award: John Drady Receives Top Employee Honor

Each year, First International Bank & Trust honors one employee with the Odin Award — named for our founder, Odin Stenehjem. It’s the bank’s highest employee recognition, reserved for someone who exemplifies our vision, mission, and values on a daily basis.

Our latest recipient is Central Market President John Drady!

Senior Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman Blaine DesLauriers said FIBT is always thinking about ways to engage with its communities. “Not only is the bank investing in the community, but we expect our employees to do the same,” he said. “In John’s case, he’s been very active in the Minot community over the years. It was an easy decision to choose John for the award.”

John said that he feels “blessed to be able to work for an organization that values the community that we do.”

“It’s just been a pleasure for the last 29 years,” he added.

As part of the Odin Award honor, FIBT donated $5,000 to the nonprofit of John’s choice: Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports. The organization provides sports and recreation opportunities for kids and adults with physical and mental disabilities. “It’s such an impressive organization from top to bottom,” John said.

“We are so thankful that you chose us as your nonprofit of choice – and for the support that FIBT has given us from the start of our organization. You’ve allowed us to truly chance the lives of so many youth and adults with different abilities,” said Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports Executive Director Kyrstal Butgereit during the check presentation in November. “We’re excited to put these dollars to good work!”
