First International Bank & Trust (FIBT) is seeking a Vocational Education Student (VOE) to join our team in the Staples / Motley, Minnesota area. This opportunity is designed specifically for current high school students who are enrolled in a school supported vocational education program and are interested in gaining hands on, real world work experience in a professional banking environment.

The Vocational Education Student role provides students with on the job learning opportunities that support career exploration, skill development, and practical application of classroom learning. This position allows students to build foundational workplace skills while learning the fundamentals of banking and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in hands on, on the job training aligned with the student’s vocational education program.
• Assist with day to day tasks and projects within the assigned department.
• Work alongside team members to support operational and administrative needs.
• Learn and apply basic banking concepts and workplace best practices.
• Build professional skills including communication, teamwork, and problem solving.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow bank policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled high school student (required).
• Participation in an approved vocational education program.
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a professional work environment.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality.
