First International Bank & Trust is seeking a Personal Banker to join our Elgin branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, values strong relationships, and takes pride in providing dependable, friendly service to customers they see and get to know over time.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career or looking to grow into banking. No prior banking experience is required we are happy to train the right individual with a strong customer service background and a genuine interest in helping others.

Our Elgin branch offers consistent weekday hours, and a team oriented environment focused on serving the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a welcoming, professional experience for customers in the lobby and drive up.
• Accurately process routine banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
• Build relationships with customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
• Assist customers with basic account questions and problem resolution.
• Follow established procedures to verify identification, protect customer information, and prevent fraud.
• Balance cash drawers and follow cash handling best practices.
• Support branch operations by working collaboratively with teammates to ensure smooth daily coverage.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or cash handling roles preferred.
• Strong customer service background in a people facing role.
• Professional, friendly communication style.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Comfort working with cash and basic computer systems.
