Retail Loan Processing Supervisor

The Retail Loan Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the retail loan processing function while serving as a working supervisor. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of loan documentation and fulfillment activities across consumer and home equity loan products.
This position plays a key role in operational execution, regulatory compliance, process improvement, and team leadership. The Supervisor partners closely with Loan Operations leadership, Retail Banking, and cross functional teams to support service levels, audit readiness, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a working supervisor, providing daily leadership, workflow oversight, training, and issue escalation while performing loan processing duties as needed.
- Oversee the accurate preparation, review, and delivery of consumer and home equity loan documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely loan boarding, document imaging and indexing, tickler creation, collateral and insurance tracking, and resolution of post closing exceptions.
- Apply and reinforce consumer lending regulatory requirements in daily operations.
- Support internal audits, external audits, regulatory exams, and data review efforts through strong controls and quality review practices.
- Monitor workflow and service levels, identifying opportunities for efficiency, consistency, and risk reduction.
- Partner with Retail Banking and other internal teams to support operational needs, lender support, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coach, develop, and support team members to build skills, engagement, and long term growth within Loan Operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or a related field; a minimum of 4 years of experience in retail loan processing or loan operations, including consumer and home equity loan products or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements preferred.
- Experience supporting audit, regulatory, or examination activities preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline driven environment.
