Universal Banker

Department: Retail Sales
Location: Gilbert, AZ
Salary Range: $35 - $45/hr DOE

We are seeking a Universal Banker to join our retail team in Gilbert, AZ. This is a true production-focused role designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with customers, and takes pride in building relationships that drive business.

As a Universal Banker, you will be the “go-to” resource for customers handling transactions, opening accounts, and identifying opportunities to deliver the right banking solutions. Opportunities to step into a role with this level of customer impact, lending exposure, and growth potential do not come along often.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by serving as a single point of contact for transactions, account needs, and product recommendations.
  • Open and service consumer and business deposit accounts, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process transactions, maintenance requests, and loan documentation efficiently and without exception.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services, including deposit and lending solutions.
  • Support consumer and home equity lending activities, including originating and closing loans.
  • Maintain NMLS registration and qualifications to offer real estate lending products.
  • Grow and retain customer relationships by proactively engaging and deepening portfolios.
  • Partner with internal teams to refer opportunities across departments and expand relationships.
  • Follow all operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including fraud prevention and identity verification.
  • Assist with onboarding or training team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree; 3-5 years of retail banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior consumer lending experience required.
  • Ability to manage both transactional and relationship-based responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
