Loan Servicing Supervisor

Salary Range: $62,000 - $94,000 per year DOE

The Loan Servicing Supervisor leads the team responsible for servicing and maintaining the bank's loan portfolio after loans are funded. This position is focused on people leadership, employee development, workflow management, operational oversight, and service quality. The supervisor serves as the primary resource for coaching, performance management, issue escalation, and process improvement while ensuring loan servicing activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of loan servicing operations (consumer, commercial, and agriculture) and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for servicing and maintaining the bank's loan portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing performance management, employee development, training, and feedback through regular one-on-one and team meetings.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and team engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor team workload, productivity, accuracy, and service quality while balancing operational priorities.
  • Oversee loan servicing functions including loan maintenance, payment processing, participation servicing, escrow administration, exception resolution, rate maintenance, and related servicing activities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex servicing issues and support the team during periods of high volume or operational demand.
  • Partner with lending, credit, compliance, and other business units to support effective loan portfolio administration.
  • Identify operational risks, process improvement opportunities, and training needs while promoting efficiency and consistency across the team.
  • Support audits, examinations, and quality control initiatives while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field; three to five years of experience in loan servicing, loan operations, loan administration, or a related banking function; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, employee development, or workflow coordination experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and agricultural loan servicing, loan administration, operational controls, and regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking core systems, loan servicing platforms, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.
