First International Bank and Trust (FIBT) is a $5.5B family-owned community bank. Our Kotapay division is a leader in ACH processing and, as of 2023, a provider of Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS). Through our Kavinu open-API platform, one of the few bank-native embedded payments gateways, we’re reimagining embedded finance.
We’re seeking a seasoned payments professional to lead our go-to-market (GTM) strategy, support partner success, and shape how we bring new embedded finance products to market. This highly visible role bridges sales, product, and marketing—requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead GTM Strategy: Translate strategic vision into actionable GTM plans across business development, marketing, and partner enablement.
- Champion Partner Experience: Identify opportunities to improve the partner experience with Kotapay, streamline internal onboarding processes, and maintain high levels of partner satisfaction.
- Promote Our BaaS 2.0 Offerings: Represent Kotapay and FIBT at industry conferences and various public relations initiatives — communicating our differentiated BaaS structure and value proposition.
- Influence Product Direction: Collaborate with product teams to influence feature functionality decisions for new Kotapay products based on partner feedback, market opportunity, and sales potential.
- Coach and Develop Sales Talent: Train and mentor sales staff on BaaS products, consultative selling techniques, and cross-sell strategies that drive deeper client relationships.
- Build a Pipeline: Maintain robust pipeline reporting, lead qualification efforts, and ensure alignment with strategic revenue goals.
- Live Our Values: Serve as a trusted ambassador of FIBT’s core values—integrity, innovation, service, and community—both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in strategic sales, partner success, or GTM roles—ideally in fintech, BaaS, or financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of embedded finance and payments ecosystems.
- Experience influencing product development through partner and market insights.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative, systems-thinking mindset—comfortable toggling between vision and execution.
- Proven success managing complex, high-value partner relationships.
- Passion for mentoring and developing sales talent.
- Patience and discipline to build a pipeline that aligns with our risk profile, not just short-term wins.
