Personal Banker III

Are you passionate about helping people and building strong customer relationships? The Personal Banker III is a senior level role on our Retail Banking team. In this role, you’ll provide outstanding service, assist customers with a wide range of financial needs—from everyday transactions to opening accounts and reviewing loan applications—and play a key role in supporting daily branch operations. If you have a background in retail banking, strong cash handling skills, experience with various deposit and loan products, and a desire to make a positive impact in your community, we’d love to hear from you!
This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, build, and maintain lasting relationships.
- Open and maintain accounts including checking, savings, CDs, retirement, and overdraft protection.
- Maintain and balance a cash drawer with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accurately process a variety of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, and more.
- Educate customers on various deposit and loan products, services, terms, and conditions.
- Review loan applications, credit reports, and financial documents to assess an applicant's creditworthiness and ability to repay the loan.
- Meet with loan applicants, discuss their needs, and guide them through the application process.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA and AML guidelines.
- Support day-to-day branch operations and provide back-up assistance as needed.
- Resolve customer questions or concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Participate in community involvement initiatives to promote FIBT.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 year of post-secondary education preferred; a minimum of three years prior retail banking experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Previous experience and proficiency handling cash and providing a high-level of customer service with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, assess risk, and make sound lending decisions preferred.
